Meet Recap

It was a challenging day for the Lakers with the temperatures, humidity, and wind levels high.

We saw a strong performance from Jack Leech, who was our 5th guy this race. He continued to pull up from behind Will Brown closing the gap behind Matthew Vanderwall to about 40 seconds. The varsity boys placed 7th overall for division two and JV placed ninth overall.

Andrew Hylen (16:46.4), Ben Hylen (17:21.2), and Cameron Thalhammer (17:22.9) all placed in the top 50 runners for the varsity race. Andrew Sellon (19:03.5) and Nathan Peterson (19:12.5) placed in the top 50 for the junior varsity race.

I am eager to see where we will be in one week’s time as we close out the OK Blue Conference with the Championship on Tuesday, October 17th at Coopersville High School.
